Once again the Flotilla will be open to all types of vessels: kayaks, row boats, sail boats, waka ama, paddle boards, small powered boats...
One of our aims this year is to provide an opportunity for people who haven't been out on the water of the Whau before to go aboard other people's vessels. If you think that perhaps you would like to take some passengers on board, and you have extra flotation devices for them, please be in contact and let us know ahead. We're also working on getting some unique vessels out on the water, and having some good things happen on the riverside at Archibald Park.
This year thanks to Auckland Council we have been able to bring on board a project manager, Emily Harris, to help us with Flotilla Whau arrangements. Emily is our main contact person and first port of call for any questions or suggestions.
We've launched a Facebook page for Flotilla WHAU, which will be the best place to keep up with all the developments as they happen - you can contact Emily through our Facebook page.
